Seems like the current live auction will be the new record high. Right now it is already at USD2,025 with ample time left.

I predict this would end near USD2,800 and would be baffled if it hits USD3,000!

I turned one down for £850 an month or so ago. How stupid do I look.

What do you think currently commands a higher price, psa 10 unlimited or a psa 9 1st edition?

Pretty crazy for a card that sold for $700 for 3 years straight.

And as recently as July of 2019! I had a chance at the time to purchase one but I was new to the hobby and I was afraid of spending that much on a card. Now I regret it so much! I’ll never be able to complete the Neo shining unlimited set in PSA 10.

Crazy. I bought my 1st edition at that price 2 years ago. 9s are still very nice and worth picking up.

It’s funny you say that as a few years ago, it was the 1st Ed version that constantly sold for £800. I remember it as even when all other shining cards were fluctuating a lot, the Charizard had the most consistent price among comparable cards I’ve ever seen. If you looked on ebay ‘sold’ there would be like 5 of them all selling for £800-£850, for what must have been around a couple of years.

For this card in particular my records (as of February 2020) valued it at £750. A few… months… later…
