Shining Neo Cards

I have sold my complete unlimited english neo genesis and destiny shining set for 1,000$, in excellent-nm condition.

I did so to save some money and also since I’ve lost interest in the hobby (buying and selling)

Is the price at which I’ve sold my collection worth it?

I’ve decided to purchase one card for sentimental purposes, Shining Mew CoroCoro PSA 10.

Any comments on the future expected price for it?

I know it is common to find the cards at psa 9 and lower but a psa 10 is pretty scarce including the fact that there are barely any left (1-3 left) on ebay.

Thanks for the help

You did just fine. $1000 is right on the money for both.

The shining Mew is a staple card and won’t lose significant value. There will always be a market for them, just like the Ancient mew cards that were printed in the 10s of thousands.

Buy what you enjoy. Don’t get caught up in the “investment” mindset and you’ll enjoy the hobby a lot more in the long run

This 100%! Too many people are hyper anxious about prices. The established individuals all share the same core of genuinely valuing the hobby. This is the most organic way to create and sustain the hobby.

Well said

Thanks for the help.

Really appreciate it.

Aiming to complete the set again but PSA graded 9-10 in Japanese. Wish me luck!

Again thanks for the help

@georgeess I’m glad to hear that. I’m a fan of the early Japanese sets too.

Keep in touch! The “collections” section is a great place to share your new additions so we all can view your progress. Lots of like-minded collectors here as well

Your future Japanese Shinings will look very compatible with your Shining Mew - something the English set cannot offer
