Just got a offer for my shining noctowl 1st Ed, but he from NL. Ive never shipped oversea before. Is there anything I need to watch out for before I accept the offer?
Check his feedback and determine if heās reliable. Plus you can ship tracked and insured if you like. I love the people in the Netherlands so Iād trust them all:)
You should definitely have it insured. Is the card graded? otherwise, he should wrap it well or customs maybe damage it. Sealed products have the possibility of getting opened up.
Well itās on eBay. I did provide all details of flaws I could shown in pictures. Not just front and back like others. Thanks for advice, I will check out after work.
Iām from the Netherlands and frequently purchase cards from overseas (for example from Japan, the US and Singapore). Other than three lost shipments (of low tier cards) over the past three years Iāve not had any issues what so ever.
That being said, my personal rule is to have every item above ā¬30/$35 sent via registered/tracked mail. I feel that that gives me peace of mind but it is also more fair towards the seller as both parties can track the shipment.
As a shop owner from the Netherlands, I can safely say that shipping to and from the Netherlands is a low-risk endeavor. But to avoid headaches and sleepless nights, I always ship with tracking. The only exception is low tier products, with the customer specifically asking to ship untracked.
So, better be safe than sorry; Ship tracked and declare full value and you should have no problems.
We āDutchiesā love you too Gary
But I agree with @engadgeter and @megazone. Iām Dutch myself and have bought thousands of products (mostly PokĆ©mon cards and twisty puzzles) from literally all over the world. There have been some lost packages, but thus far those came from within Europe themselves mostly: France and Italy a couple of time, and Germany once. I donāt think Iād ever had a lost package from the US, Japan, or China (although one package from Japan was delivered at someone elseās place at the end of the street once, which they found out after cleaning two months laterā¦). And considering I have 10+ packages incoming on a daily basis, thatās saying something.
As long as itās with tracking there shouldnāt be any problem. And if you want extra security, you could add a āsignature on arrivalā request to your shipment just in case.
Greetz,
Quuador
Iāve accept his offer and now waiting for payment after I send the invoice. I told him it will be included tracked and insured. I hope he paid soon since I want to spend selling funds for that 8% ebucks :v
The Netherlands (and the Scandinavian countries) are the safest and most reliable countries you can ship to in Europe. And many of us would love if more North American sellers on ebay would ship to usā¦
Just enable GSP if you donāt trust that the buyer is legitimate. It might put the buyer off though as theyāll have to pay customs upfront (and GSP has additional admin fees bundled into that).
I understand that, probably because they not use to sending oversea. I gladly accept his offer since most people offering me 35-55 most. Only if there a guide on shipping cost would be nice.
This.
Iām from Finland myself and Iāve never had a lost package. Iāve had couple delayed ones during all these years, but they have all showed up eventually.
And unfortunately Iāve had to skip on many good eBay finds because the seller didnāt ship outside of US.
Yes, this.
To all sellers in America; Weāre all very much aware of increased shipping, which weāll gladly pay. Weāre accustomed to that by the ones that already do ship overseas.
If you as an American seller already have enough buyers, then thatās fine. But if youāre looking for a bigger audience, youāre doing yourself a disservice at not looking at some countries in Europe for instance. Thanks in advance from the Netherlands.
I am from the Netherlands, I have send hundreds and hundreds of packages within the Netherlands and NEVER had anything gone missing.
