Should I contact PSA about this?

I got back my first submission a few days ago and just had the chance to open the package to make sure everything was okay. When examining the cases I noticed a fairly large sized white piece of something inside one of them. It appears to just simply be a piece of fuzz and I can tell that it is stuck to the case and not the card as it presents a shadow on the card in certain light.

If this was just one of my PSA 9s that was going in my personal collection I wouldn’t think much of it. But this is 1 of only 9 evolution box error wartortles that have graded Gem 10 and I plan to sell this card. I know it’s already a niche market and I’m afraid of this turning off a potential buyer. So should I contact PSA to see if they will recase it for free and risk them damaging the card or is this something that’s not terribly uncommon and won’t hurt the value? Thanks in advance.

It’s probably acrylic from the sealing process. Not much you can do and somewhat common. As long as card isn’t damaged, then it’s fine. Not worth the hassle especially if you intend to sell it. I doubt PSA would re-case for free.

good thing that PSA did not ruin that card with blood or feces

Definitely annoying. But it’s on the back of the card and isn’t as big as I thought before looking at the photo. I don’t think a buyer will be deterred from buying.

Great grade!

Thanks everyone! I’m not a Gem Mint collector and I’ve read of sellers having issues with buyers expecting absolute perfection from their 10s which just is never the case. So I was just a but concerned.

Can’t hurt to include a good pic of this when you sell it, just to cover yourself.

I wouldn’t like that. get it recased

Bang the edge on your palm and maneuver it out of the way.

Good to know it i’m not alone in regards to the white plastic shavings. The Blastoise has a few little white pieces in with the card and all three have weird looking white stuff up near the labels. I’ve just learned to accept it.

There is some moving piece inside the gase (I believe it is cardboard), that piece was on the card,I managed to move it to the empty rail, now I can live with it,but if I’d live in usa or being original submitter and blanning to sell, I’d send it back to psa. They seems to be careless somethimes, this is 1st psa10.
