Amazing work!!! I appreciate all the effort you’ve made in this.
This has become in one of my favourite threads of E4

I’m from Peru and I can confirm that there was a Shuckle in one of its series. About year, I’m not sure. These cards started being distributed in 2016 with the launch of Pokémon Go. Due to this type of cards are not “well-seen” between collectors of the country, there’re not much information about them which has not been well preserved well. There’re transparent cards as well in those series, but I haven’t seen Shuckle there …

And about the other series launched in Peru, they were not as popular as the 3Reyes one. I’m not sure if they are hard to find as singles, but I’m almost sure you can find bulks of those cards for really cheap in the country. (At least you can find the 3Reyes one in bulks in Peruvian Facebook Marketplace).

Something almost unrelated, but in Peru during Pokémon Go boom era, a company named “Staks” launched magnets. I used to have some of these in the past.
You can breathe easy because Shuckle was not included in these series.
(Images are NOT mine)

Hope you find this useful!

Wow great to know the thread is well received, it took a while haha.

Also very interesting to hear from someone in Peru, Peru has been such a weird deep dive with all the weird stickers, cards, pogs etc. Definitely makes me wonder what is available in other countries as well.

Much love <3

Awesome thread! It must have taken forever to type it all up!

I love deep dives into non-TCG for species collectors. I might be able to fill in some information for you for some, and I’ll take a look to see if I might have any Shuckle things that aren’t on your list.

This one I know off the top of my head because I learned about them recently. They come from Coris/Corris seal book gums (company is Coris/Corris). I think they are pretty recent, as I’ve seen Pokemon Horizons stuff in this format, but I’ll see if I can find some mention of a year somewhere.

Will hopefully have some time tonight to look at some things!

oh thats amazing, i will add that info thanks a lot

I updated the formatting a little bit. Feel free to revert the edit if you don’t like it

Extremely cool to see such a comprehensive list, found some new merch for me too since alolan muk is presented in a lot of pokemon horizons merch! Too bad it’s quite difficult to search for, at least i haven’t found any search words that work very well. I also have some info on some of the items on your list

This set also had code variants if you are interested in those, a list can be found here

Gen 1 sets have a ton of different back variants, not sure if it also applies to gen 2 set but something you might want to check

Some of the cards of these sets have number variants with letters on them, i’m not sure how the rules of it work but it looks like shuckle has those variants since one of your cards is 213 and one 213c, so both gold and silver deck ones should have another variant too

This is made by topsun and i believe the year is 1999, it also should have 2 variants with small changes on artwork layout. You may want to check https://www.pokemonstickerpedia.com/ for more info on topsun and amada stickers and the years they are produced

This set also has a jigsaw puzzle on the back of the sticker set that features shuckle too, not sure if the artwork continues on sticker below it but shuckle is mainly presented on sticker Oshawott #08

I believe this also is a pan sticker, similar than the ones you’ve listed later. Iirc pan stickers have also chinese variants

Thank you for your hard work on this. I’m starting to put together something similar for Politoed and this has given me valuable context on items I was otherwise in the dark about!

Wow thank you so much for the information, I have seen you around and follow you on insta haha.
I will add all of that about the stickers, I love that secret oshawott shuckle sticker you mentioned, that’s a great shout… i thought the reason one shuckle had 213 and one had 213c was just because one was gold and one was silver tbh haha.

The unseen forces Luckily only the common cards have extra codes so shuckle only has the one. which is lucky for me haha

Much Love <3

Here are the Keiko Fukuyama postcards that I have with Shuckle in them (in the top left, there’s a little Shuckle doll in the window to the left of Meowth). If you like the art, you can see more of their postcards here). According to the E4 thread, the postcards were distributed in 2000. I can’t find an obvious company that produced the postcards on the back, so maybe it was just Nintendo?

I’ll also take some time to look through some things that were likely produced for all Gen II pokemon. These Meiji coins, for example—which may have a silver and gold variant. I haven’t found a picture of a Shuckle coin yet, but there is a space for him in the Johto folder, so he definitely has at least one. Not sure what year these were produced, but that information might be able to be found somewhere on the internet.

I wanted to try to dig out some more Shuckle stuff, but it looks like Mercari Japan is down for the moment… (and I was in the middle of buying things too…)

I’ll probably revisit the thread if I find more items!

Yeah i remember you from ig too  and looks like you are right, according to the sets and languages list japanese unseen forces uncommons have two codes but this list has only one code for the uncommons too throughout the set. I know @quuador is busy but perhaps you can check and update your thread at some point  (and massive thanks again for making it in the first place, it’s probably the one thread i return to the most often)

I kinda missed it, but what should be updated? I assume you’re referring to this thread of mine: Sets and Languages: Compilation overview list But for EX Unseen forces it already mentions two codes for Japanese Uncommons and one code for English/German/French/Italian/Spanish/Portuguese Uncommons. Or is EX Unseen Forces similar as EX Emerald, where the English Uncommons have a single code, but the foreign Uncommons have two codes?

And awesome collection and thread @zaneat. Love all the non-TCG stuff especially. :turtle:

Greetz,
Quuador

According to excel made by @tonysandlin japanese ex unseen forces seems to only have one code set for uncommons too, can’t really be sure tho which list of the ones you’ve made has the correct info

Btw this has been a nice page to find new stuff for certain species, some stuff is added every now and then so might be useful to check it sometimes if you find there something new that’s missing from your list.

Also, have you been searching for pokemon horizons stuff and if you have which search words have you used? Annoyingly the name in japan is just “pocket monsters” so impossible to use that as a seach word

Oh that’s a very good page.

No I haven’t found a search term for Pokémon horizons yet. The search terms I have been using in general are Here
