Slight edge lift affect grade?

Does PSA treat edge lifting the same as dents? Auto 6? Card is mint otherwise.

Since it is noticeable. I think they will dock it down to probably a 9 or less.

Hmm. I heard PSA was grading alittle stricter now. I thought it’d be seen as damaged.

Oh boy. Here it comes.

Grading is subjective, so in most people’s opinions it would be in the 8-9 range, barring other flaws.

Thank you.

I know PSA had been handing out 6’s on Vending Series cards where the corners had a bit of a lip/lift. Scott did a video on it.

I’m not sure if the same thing would apply here.

I went back and watched it. It’s probably not worth grading, I’ll just keep it as a binder card. Thanks

It’s ultimately your decision, but I have seen similar cards receive 7s, 8s, and even a few 9s. Given PSA/Ludkins current grading discounts, if you have 25 cards that you are planning on submitting I’d say it’s worth a shot.

As I previously mentioned grading is subjective, so you never know given the grader at PSA, but I’d say if there truly aren’t any other flaws on the card, it’s worth submitting. Even if it does get a 6 or whatever grade you aren’t satisfied with, you can always crack it out and keep it as a binder card.
