Ya I’m trying that method and video keeps not showing up. It was last night tho. I ended up finally getting it to start the loading progress again to YouTube. I’m at 15 percent I’m hoping it uploads this time. Also does it always take hours to upload each video?

It can take hours for an upload straight from a phone yes. Thats why most video editing software encode the files automatically when you finish editing to something more compact and easily uploaded to a site like youtube. If you are on a windows pc, just move the file into movie maker, then export it as an mp4 should be way faster. On linux I use openshot video editor, same thing really

Ya I’m not exactly doing this professionally with editing and all that. I accidentally swore once or twice while just bullshiting which I will try to avoid on the next one. But I’m really just doing this for myself and friends and family etc but making it public. And yes next time I also have to figure out easier ways of making the videos smaller size. I just wanted to get this first video out there. It’s half way uploaded now so hopefully with in next few hours it’s done

Yeah I remember doing the same with my first video upload taking a whole night to upload. After that I always saved it as mp4 even if I didnt do any editing at all. Its just faster to upload to moviemaker and then export as mp4

I’d like to check out your videos man if you have a link. And does it give you different options to save as automatically? I havnt seen a option to switch it. I never managed to upload it to computer. I’m doing straight from phone to YouTube now. Just looking for tips for next one or at the end of upload. I did manage to switch it for not directed for kids

I dont make pokemon videos and haven’t been active on there for a while

O gotcha ya I figured it was a Pokemon or collection video. Honestly I’d love to see others post more collection videos too

I usually just connect my phone to the PC via USB - if it doesn’t show up on your PC, go to the USB settings of your phone and select something like “use USB for sharing DATA/connect to PC” etc. If you then can’t manage to find your video on your phone, just rename the file on your phone and search for that name with your PC within your phone’s folders. Or just record to an SD card and plug that into your PC.
I would then copy the video to your PC, (edit) and only then upload it, in case the USB connection breaks mid-upload or something. Also the reading speed of your PC is probably way faster.
I despise Windows movie maker/media player (too many corrupted files in the past), I use the free version of VSDC editor. 8 min 1080p avi files come out at like 400-500 mb and get uploaded in around 15 min.

I have trouble downloading videos onto my PC when the phone storage is full, so clearing space on your phone may help.

@burnedos and @joer thanks for the tips! My phone memory is definitely pretty full

Not that you care, but swearing on YouTube videos is an automatic unsubscribe for many including me. I’ve always taught my kids that it’s not hard for most people to find an alternate way to express themselves.
I personally watch all of our communities Pokémon content with my daughter and love the tact and enthusiasm of most. I’d prefer her not being exposed to, or me needing to explain such verbiage to a 6 year old. That’s why I block such content creators.
Now if your content is about terrorism and Blk lives matter…then no problem:)

If you need me to, I will run the file through premiere pro and export at a smaller filesize

@king Pokémon It’s my first one bare with me. If I end up doing abunch of these im sure I will get better at making everything clean. This first one is kind of for myself and friends. It’s mostly little slip ups while going thru all the cards. This first one was a pain to finally upload but once I get the process down and if I like it I’ll probably take down the first video and redo it. For me I personally like learning by trial and error @chris B That’s very nice of you. I might take you up on that sometime

Agree with this.

Especially as there will be a lot of children watching pokemon content, always best to air on the side of caution here imo!

Ya, @garyis2000, makes a good point. Sometimes it can be funny, but I try to avoid it in my videos too. I feel like anyone that is watching is doing it for the pure nostalgia and enjoyment of the hobby above all else. If you have a ridiculous pull from a pack or a great grade then I would be okay with a slip up, just don’t make it a major habit I would suggest.
