Thankful moments during this season!

As we approach thanksgiving and other holidays near the end of the year maybe we should remember to be thankful.

It may be pokemon related in any way.

It may be life related.

The important thing is that we should be thankful for things and people and what not in life. So many times tomorrow is not promised. So make sure you show your gratitude today! Even if its to yourself. Maybe you are proud of yourself or someone. It will make the holidays extra crisp, trust! Appreciation brings alleviation. Bless you all.

I guess ill start it off :slight_smile:

This season im thankful for a few things.

  1. I got a pay raise
  2. I didnt get sick as i usually do
  3. Im doing well on my pikachu collection so far and thing’s are going according to plan
  4. My new puppy is starting to grow up and hes taking to training well
  5. My mom retired and finally can relax

I’m thankful for all of the non-holo cards in my collection. I’ve been thinking about this a lot lately.

Any WOTC card, be it common, rare, holo, perfect, torn, speckled or slabbed, fills me with so much nostalgia and happiness it’s almost alarming.

I am extremely thankful to have been alive during and at an age where I was able to appreciate what was the begining of the Pokémon phenomena.

I also love being an older pokemon card collector as i feel part of some of the original content to be historical within the hobby. Its pretty cool to look back to when you’re younger and feel the nostalgia as well. I played pokemon at a young age and im in my 30s now. Its something that stays consistent and that has survived this long and seems to have a good future that we can all be a pqrt of in some way. Im appreciative of that as well because if i ever have kids id like them to get into pokemon. It wulould be a hobby we could share as some people have already done.

I’m going to make this general as apposed to PkMn related.

I work with people from all over the world. This past month I had several interactions with strangers who proved themselves to be genuine, milk-of-human-kindness type people. With all the vitriol in so many places today, even our little hobby neck of the world, reminders like this, and genuine interactions here are the thing I’m most thankful for. Don’t forget to expand your circles from time to time… you never know.

Random compliments; Appreciation of my artistic and work endeavors; Connecting over shared interests and experiences; AND MOST of ALL, positive collaboration and discussion about the future. This world can be great, if we stonewall negativity and say, LFGooooo!
