Itās not really new actually. Iāve seen a few people do it, mostly with Yu-Gi-Oh though. I think the earliest ones Iāve seen were from about ten years ago. Although nowhere near as professional as the ones shown in the videos, Iām still happy with how it turned out with my two left hands, haha. Looking back at that post, it seems I was inspired by this video from mid-2015:
This has been getting done for years and years, Iām surprised itās ānewā for pokemon. A lot of the ones Iāve seen have the text area of the card turned into life counters for other games so they donāt have to use dice.
Itās turning a lot of bulk into nice display pieces, where the art of the card takes a center stage. Also the amount of time and patience that goes into creating these pieces is commendable.
