Things to do in Vegas

Hey all!

I’m heading to Vegas in 2 days time for 3 nights.

Two questions:

  1. What would you recommend doing/seeing out there?

  2. Anything Pokemon related me and the wife can enjoy out there?

I hear gambling is pretty big in Vegas

^

Nothing really Pokémon related but there’s tons of things to do. Especially if your over 21.

Go see Carrot Top at the Luxor. Not kidding. His act KILLS. The whole audience (and me especially) was just dying for almost an hour straight.

There’s a giant ferris wheel right smack in the middle of the Strip. Goes about 30 mins, and is an open bar! Pretty cool at night to go on it and get a great view of all of Las Vegas!

Go see Penn and Teller!

Saw their show a couple weeks ago. VERY mediocre. And I’m a big fan of their Fool Us show, so I went into it optimistic and was pretty disappointed.

I saw them back in 2012 and it was a good show. I guess a lot could change in 7 years, but you’d think they’d get better.

What didn’t you like about it?

It was just a mishmash of meh bits, with one that was slightly interesting. One of the tricks I could see the wire from where I was sitting. It wasn’t terrible, but it was not worth the hike over to the Rio imo.

In N out Burger is a great and classic restaurant.

Going to rooftop bar/clubs is always a cool experience.

The rides at the top of the stratosphere are worth doing at least once. They are a little pricey (everything is in Vegas), but doing a thrill ride at the top of a skyscr*per is thrilling.

Gotta get the 3 foot blended mixed drink with the shooter vile on top. They are perfect for walking around the casinos with. You should never be walking around empty handed.

There is a lot of walking involved. Consider getting a ticket for the tram or the double decker buses. Maybe people uber now though.

It’s easy to miss the Fremont Street area, so don’t forget to check out this side of the strip.

and lastly, nothing really closes so it’s fun to explore the town at insane hours of the night and morning.

The Hard Rock café serves great burgers and has very friendly staff… at least they did 12 years ago. :stuck_out_tongue:

Go explore the underground tunnels of Vegas. I bet you will meet some interesting folks!

I wish I had taken a strip club card from all the street people that snap them at you. Could have filled a binder.

Thanks so much for all of the suggestions!

There’s quite a few that I wasn’t expecting so will definitely be making a longer to-do list today and tomorrow
