This guy selling fake PSA-graded cards using real serial #s

Is there no legal action that can be taken for something like this?

This guy is selling cards that are not only fake with a fake PSA case but also using real PSA serial numbers and real PSA barcodes.

And it seems like he only accepts payment in bitcoin to conceal his identity.

I know this has been done before and I know it’s easy to tell these are fakes to the well-trained eye, but this will fool a lot of people and it makes me sick.

Edit: We should probably all contact PSA about this. The more they hear about it the more likely they are to take action, hopefully.

This scares me. It most likely won’t trick buyers on higher end cards. But he mentions in the description that he can make any card you ask him to. Not to mention other than some case dimensions these cards look very good for fakes. Really hope we don’t see these kind of things circulate on the market.

He’s been around for quite some time and they look terrible. There’s a reason he’s showing them from a distance in a penny sleeve.

I don’t like it. Even if it is fake and obvious. I personally look to a PSA case with bar codes for clarity on buying a genuine item. Maybe it looks stupid obvious up close, but I would not care to risk it.

alol @ the bit coin card

rarest card in the world!! lmfao

He’s not “showing them from a distance in a penny sleeve.” He’s showing them right up close in a fake PSA case and they look decent.

Can I tell they’re fake? Yes.

Could I easily see these fooling many people who are less experienced, especially people who don’t already own an authentic copy? Yes.

Email PSA. They removed him last time.

If someone is buying a $40,000 card can’t tell this one is fake, I don’t know what to tell them.

Disagree if you want but looks like preschool arts and crafts to me.

Don’t link his stuff or give him attention. Report his videos and contact PSA + Pokemon if you really want to make a difference.

I totally get the point that we should not give traffic/attention and should just report him, but as a newer collector I’m glad this information is shared to make people on the forum aware, so I personally am glad it was shared and not just silently reported.

I bought 1st ED Charizard card from him on etsy, I was curious about quality. I can assure you - those cards are horrible, they are way thicker than original and the holo is not even close. I still have this card.

As unfortunate as this is I think that anyone spending any significant amount of money on any collectible should have enough education to at least think something is up with something like this.

I definitely get what you are saying by being able to notice these cards are fake with experience. But what bothers me is that he mentions in his description he is able and willing to make any card that you ask him to. Obviously people buying into high value cards know what they are looking for and can easily spot a fake. But for young collectors coming in from youtube videos, if he or someone else were to start producing lower end cards I don’t see why it wouldn’t trick new buyers even on a small scale. Maybe I don’t have enough experience with this kind of thing and that’s entirely possible but that’s what I would be worried about.
