Thoughts on buying from 0 feedback sellers from ebay

Hi! Recently saw a card im mildly interested in being sold by a seller on ebay slightly cheaper, the kicker is that they have zero feedback. They listed a couple other cards as well. Let me know your thoughts!

0 selling history and 0 buying history. Account was made late september!

I bought a $200 card from a 0 feedback seller who took days to respond and it showed up just fine @rybatony,

That is good to know! this one is slightly under 200. Everyone has to start somewhere i guess, but i just find it weird that they have no buying history as well

If itā€™s a good enough deal, give it a shot. Worse case scenario, eBay buyer protection will cover you.

I bought some mint japanese promos from a 0 feedback seller recently. One of the cards I got through best offer for only $30 and it was advertised as mint, worth $100+ raw and between $200-500 in a 9/10. I was hesitant at first, didnā€™t think the cards would be shipped/delivered as pictured but they were. Worth the gamble imo

I have good luck buying from 0 feedback sellers. I make habit out of it because they tend to list things at a discount.

Ebay will protect you if they never ship

Everybody has to start somewhere. Not everyone without an established record is out to scam you.
The main thing is to not purchase something that looks fishy. Iā€™ve had decent luck with 0/low feedback sellers in the past.

Plus, you know, eBay has a pretty good policy to cover your ass if things go sideways

If its money back you can risk it

Sometimes it works out sometimes it doesnā€™t. The times it doesnā€™t it becomes a headache and a waste of time, and time is something I have very little of. The longer I collect the less I buy from ā€œriskyā€ sources because it is becoming less and less worth my time or the possible stress.

Iā€™ve purchased a handful of items from sellers with 0 feedback. Havenā€™t had any issues yet - keep in mind, these purchases tended to be below $300.

There is no gamble in the matter. This is ebay we are talking about. Unless of course it is a volatile, rapidly inflating card (which you shouldnā€™t be buying from a new seller in the first place). Zero risk, and as everyone has mentioned, it is usually fine condition and as advertised. Just stay away from ones where they donā€™t describe and the pics could be misleading (holo angle to not show scratches or bends indents couldnā€™t be discerned).

Everyone is new at some point. Youā€™ve got eBayā€™s protection and PayPal. I would say if the deal is good and everything adds up, why not!

I sold a 1st base Squirtle to a 0 feedback buyer, the card was perfect but had a corner crease which was hard to see unless you took a picture with the flash on which I did. PSA 6 condition.

Basically he bought the card off me no problem. Then he relisted it himself for double to amount of money and described it as mint. He took pictures of the card all except the back where the crease was to dupe buyers. He sold for double the amount.

Days later eBay contacted me saying that there was some fraud going on and not to trust this user, his account was then unregistered. Some people are honest like myself and others just want to make a quick buck in scamming. ALWAYS communicate with the seller if you have suspicions about their items.

Most the time itā€™s worked out for me and I was able to get good deals this way as many others were not willing to take the time to deal with them.

Nothing to lose with eBays buyer protection.

Thereā€™s literally 0 risks for you. Iā€™ve bought a lot of items from 0 feed 0 days accounts and they were fine and most of them were shipped better than most professional sellers.

Always a little bit scary, but if its through paypal and ebay, I believe you are fully secured.

Someone just bought a 1st ed shining Tyranitar PSA 10 for ā‚¬2500 from a 0-feedback seller which I believe to be legit, Iā€™d say itā€™s worth the ā€˜riskā€™!

*avoid the obvious scams*

Word of advice: Donā€™t buy from 0 feedback sellers from China. Most likely itā€™s a fake. Also if the price is too good to be true then youā€™re getting a fake or getting scammed. Apart from the usual precautions you should be fine buying from 0 feedback sellers. Remember we all / everyone started at 0 as well

Thoughts on selling to 0 feedback U.S buyers? Lol

What Iā€™ll say is simplyā€¦ good luck.
