This is something that comes up pretty often. I’d recommend searching “Fake 1st edition stamp” here on the site for some other threads to read through!

Here is a real 1st edition stamp. Notice how the N in the real one is closer to the gold, and the T almost lines up with the line above it.

Yep, definitely fake. For those who have handled Base 1st Edition, it is easy to detect. But I imagine that this could fool many seasoned collectors.

I haven’t seen a lot of 1st Ed base. I would’ve been fooled. That’s why I tend to only buy shadowless. I’m so scared to get scammed
