I am having a little trouble finding a price for the Togepi and Mew. Pop seems decently low.
I picked up a complete PSA 10 southern Islands set but could not find a price on these and it has been a few years since I have sold one.
Any help would be appreciated thank you!
English I presume? A thread on the mew recently discussed this and someone was offering $250. Seems to be worth more and this sold listing from last year was linked for $610.
Yeah we discussed the mew a few weeks ago. I had info on confirmed sales from $200-400 but those are a few years old. The $610 Ebay sell is a better estimate. The Togepi I had confirmed sales in the $200 range but those are also a few years old.
Personally I would say $700-$900 on the mew and maybe $300 on the togepi? It’s also a pretty niche market though so I’m not sure how fast you could sell the entire set or piece it out at those prices. If you sell any of the cards publicly I would greatly appreciate the sale info. I’m sending off a complete NM/M set in my next submission and am hopeful for several gems.
I don’t know if that sold listing is a good price point as another auction just a month and a half beforehand saw the exact same card (same cert number) sell for just $163.
I appreciate all the input. I was thinking in my head about $400 each. Mew was low pop but really popular and Togepi was pop 10 but not as popular.
I think that was the effect of the niche market for the set. I don’t ever recommend putting something like that up for auction. They’re so low pop and hardly ever come up for sale. Throwing it on ebay for ~$900 BIN OBO would be the best way to sell
@thecharizardauthorty,I saw your video about grabbing those and that was an awesome grab. Can anyone go to that event? If I knew about such a thing I would definitely go.
Do you have any tips for other events where collectors may gather on the East coast for sales, trades and events?
Someone else had saw the set and offered $400 for the whole 18 card set. When I told him we were too far off he still for a counter. I think it will go into my personal collection anyways!

Stimulus checks yo. It’s not that I don’t see those cards being worth that in the future but I think that’s absurdly inflated for the market right now. Especially when 9s are $20-30… granted, it is extremely low pop, they’re already hard to grade right out of the pack and you very rarely see sealed sets so 
That’s pretty high considering one just sold last week out of Australia on eBay for $1550 USD
not quite the same as Black label zard, but are we going to see prices come down after Rona goes away? It’s hard to fathom that some of these cards are jumping up 100,200 or even 300%.

Southern Islands is one of the most important and memorable promotional sets in the English TCG. The Togepi is horrendously difficult to grade and the sealed binders are getting super expensive (not that cracking one is even likely to get you a 10).
I can’t imagine a more legitimate example of growth in a gem mint early promo.

Lol I’m the guy who bought the psa 10 togepi and the mew. Been wanting collect the whole set in psa 10 just too hard to come by people selling those card. Had to pull the trigger and get it then instead of waiting months again… not so sure about the pwcc auction where people paid double the value… a little suss…
Wow so people willing to pay $3,000 usd to a psa 10 togepi and is a legit bid then… wonder how much mew would go for…
