Sketchy Deals That Just Worked Out

Hmm, I try to stay away from sketchy sellers. One time I bought an entire old label CGC 9 / CGC 9.5 Poncho Wearing Eevee collection ($2,000+) from a low-feedback seller on eBay before the authenticity guarantee existed. [Final Update: Not an Error] Charizard Base Set Unlimited - Printing Error?

Looking to get some thoughts on this Base Set Unlimited Charizard. I believe that it is a printing error, though I’ve seen almost nothing like this previously. There is a somewhat similar printing error Fossil Dragonite listed on PWCC, but they differ in many ways. Comments: The card has very few scratches/wear on the front surface. Entered one of those raffles you see advertised on facebook sometimes. Company had good reviews on trustpilot and all that so I took a chance.

Won a few decent prizes like base set boosters and then I got a phone call one night i’d won a sealed team rocket booster box. I sold it days after it arrived as I dared not open it.

I can blame that gambling win on getting drawn back in to the hobby in a big way though as it kickstarted me collecting sets again.

Bought an opened Japanese Neo starter deck for around $15 that had cards inside. Box was in MP condition, but I like vintage theme decks. The shop let me take a quick peek inside, and it looked like there were about 60 cards, so I figured I had nothing to lose.
