Unlimited Base Set Question

Hey guys Pokemon noobie here but have a question.

How come whenever I look for PSA graded base set cards on eBay everyone has 1st Edition and Shadowless but not unlimited cards listed in 9 or 10.

If there are unlimited base set set collector’s out there wouldn’t they need for example rare trainer cards like Lass, Pokemon Trader or non holo rares like Electabuzz, Beedrill in high grade?

Thanks!

I presume the reason is that there is less demand for people looking for unlimited unless they are looking for the fourth print run. Everyone wants to buy 1st and shadowless.

PSA 10 base set unlimited holos are undervalued in my opinion. The set has a crazy amount of print runs, but buying PSA 10 holos for sub $60 seems crazy cheap.

The main component is quantity. 1st Edition and Shadowless only had 1 print run. Where unlimited had at least 8 print runs.

The charizard unlimited card is pretty consistent. Unlimited base has a higher tendency to temporarily saturate and/or fluctuate due to the enhanced quantity. 1st Ed and Shadowless tend to fluctuate less, especially the holo cards.
