sold this, obv I refunded the buyer and now I got the card back. Sent in a regular bubble mailer but yeah its destroyed. Do I keep it as a fun little sealed psa 10 example or try to regrade? Also usps claims seem to not be working online anymore. I got their mail order claim form but it is not as easy to fill out proof of damage.
Card looks ok, I am considering regrading it but I don’t know if I will need to show usps claims the busted case before I do so. Unfortunately I have a batch of stuff ready to grade going out tomorrow Id like to add this to but if they come back and say please prove the card is damaged it will already be recased
too much damage, thats more for if there is no way anyone could reach into the slab and tamper. Like with small edge dings and such. This one was practically fully open. I cracked it and it looks pretty undamaged but we will see I guess
Did you put the slab loose in a bubble mailer or was it reinforced by cardboard/something hard? In this instance, the damage is so severe that the slab was probably fucked anyway lol, but just curious.
If you keep hitting walls, show up at your rep’s local office and complain about inability to navigate a Fed system. They can usually help grease a wheel or two and speed things up.
As for the slab, I’d keep it as is! What a funky little story and a great talking point in your collection.
I only recently started buying slabs, and the second one I ever bought arrived busted up. It was shipped to me inside a bubble mailer and the seller had put it in a plastic bag. Package arrive with the entire bottom of the mailer cut open, fragments of the case loose inside and the sleeve was mangled. Not sure wtf happened. My guess is someone thought it was a phone so they cut open the mailer only to be disappointed by my vileplume.
