Value estimation [base set, I think?] (much appreciated!)

Hello lovely efour community. I’m ashamed to say that I’m very new to this wonderful hobby. I am trying to amass a base set collection to start off. A person has offered me to sell these cards for about $900 USD and I’m not quite sure if they’re worth it, could anyone give me an estimate of what they think these cards are worth? I’m aware that the pictures do not contain backsides, so please assume they are not perfect either. All help is very appreciated as I do not wish to overpay!

Is it possible for you to take better pictures? Try taking pictures of the backs and angles to see the edges. Condition matters the most.

Read the link below for set symbols. Sounds like you need to take a step back and let your foot off the gas and get some basic understanding of card sets before throwing away 900$ or anything like that no matter what cards you end up getting. Welcome to the hobby!

Edit: should have noticed flipper in the name… I’d say you’ve got plenty to learn before getting that method to work with a question like this.

@pokeflipper,the cards look ok and the charizard, charmilion, and poliwrath are base set 2. If you are trying to flip them, I have no idea on the margins you are going to get. The first three back cards in your photos seem to be around PSA 5 with all the whiting on the edges. If you want to buy them so you have something nice to look at, why not.
