Looking at this box for $1500 and cannot really find any info on sold listings on eBay other than an opened box and the one I’m looking at which got re-listed.
Anyone has any insights into if $1500 is a price that matches what these have been going for in the last 4-6 months? Also not sure if this is something that shows up regularly as I haven’t kept an eye on these boxes at all.
I’d say a good place to start is just the base value of the box with the 60 packs inside.
I’d say the packs go for $15-$20, that times 60 is $900-$1200. The box does deserve some what of a premium since it’s sealed and the packs haven’t been messed with (even though there is a holo in every pack).
With that in mind $1500 isn’t craxy, but you could probably get them to knock the price a little.
This particular box doesn’t have the “only for sale in Japan” text on it, even though I’m not sure that makes a difference?
I’ll see if I can get them towards 1200.

I bought mine a couple of moths ago for $1200. There is an opened one on ebay right now for $1050 obo and fee shipping with 60 packs. As all packs contain a holo that might be nice too.
I’ve purchased two in the last year - both around $1000 from Yahoo Japan.

Curious about buying via Yahoo Japan, how does that work? Is there an issue with stuff of this price going through customs?

You can utilise sites like Buyee or Noppin to 3rd party bid on your behalf, but fees and customs can severely affect the price.
It probably helps having a middleman bid on your behalf inside Japan. That way you can have peace of mind when purchasing, knowing that they can ship to you and avoid customs (i’m not advocating avoiding paying taxes!)
