Virtual Tour of my eBay Office - My eBay Story!

My Back Story:

I originally started buying and selling Pokemon Cards on eBay in 2009 (Sophomore / Junior Year of H.S.). I immediately fell in love with eBay and the Pokemon Business! After building-up a fairly-successful eBay Store (Old Skool Pokemon Cards) through high school, I went off to college in the Spring of 2012. I tried keeping-up with my eBay Business while in college; however, I unfortunately had to close my eBay Store during my sophomore year in college… Going to school, working part-time, and running my eBay Business just got to be to much - so I shut-down my eBay Store / Account and sold-off my entire inventory.

While my eBay Business was no-longer, I never stopped browsing eBay and the Pokemon Category - still not knowing that one day I would re-open my eBay Store! After graduating from college in June 2015, I received my first “adult job” onboard a RO/RO (car carrier). I spent from August 2015 until January 2016 onboard the RO/RO working as a Third-Mate. When I finally returned home in January, I quickly realized that having four-months off with nothing to do once all my friends went back to school and/or work during the week would get REALLY BORING, REALLY FAST! One night in Early-February, I was having a few drinks and browsing eBay - low-and-behold I found someone selling-off his ENTIRE COLLECTION of Pokemon Cards (15,000 to 20,000 Cards)! After having placed the item on my Watch List for a few days, I decided to go for it - I submitted my Best Offer and the seller Accepted! The rest was history; I created another eBay Account for my new eBay Business, opened a new eBay Store, and began selling Pokemon Cards!

I still work as a Third-Mate with a four and four rotation (four on / four off). While working, I place my eBay Store on Vacation Mode. When I return from work - after spending a few days relaxing and partying - I re-open my eBay Store and spend an un-healthy amount of time during the week sorting through Pokemon Cards and Browsing eBay! I truly have the best of both worlds - am able to spend four months traveling the world with my dream-job; returning home for four months to run my eBay Business! While my eBay Business is profitable; I no longer run my eBay Business for the profit (although that part is nice) - I now run it for “fun-sake”! I truly enjoy buying and selling on eBay!

The Tour:

I enjoy watching YouTube Videos / Tours of “eBay Offices” - and have always wanted to one-day show-case my eBay Office! However, I have never gotten into the whole YouTube Thing and never really considered my eBay Store / Inventory that impressive - until recently that is!

Back in Aug. - Sept. I purchased a large collection of Base Set R. / Un. / C. Cards from Not Zelda Gilroy. Recently, I came across a “wholesale auction” from Rock Carolina. After getting in contact with him, I learned that he was shutting-down his eBay Store and looking to sell-off a portion of his inventory - so I was able to grab Jungle Set through Neo Destiny Un. / C. Cards, Black-Star Promo Cards, and Japanese Vending Series 3 Cards from Rock Carolina (among other things). These two purchases - among other smaller purchases - have led to my current eBay Inventory. After WEEKS of sorting and organizing, my eBay Office is finally back to an “organized state” LOL

Without further ado - here we go!

Walking into my eBay Office

Fortunately, my parents have allowed me to take-over our spare-bedroom! It’s a fairly small spare-bedrrom, so I have my Postage Scale and Printer in my bedroom along with my computer (got to have something to watch Netflix on at night)! Majority of my packaging / mailing supplies are along this wall and inside the Dresser - Flat-Rate Boxes, Bubble Envelopes, Packaging Tape…

Opposite Wall of DresserAll of my back-stock is sorted and organized and placed onto this shelving unit.

Top Shelf: Used to have A LOT of Flat-Rate Boxes filled with Late-1980’s and Early-1990’s Sports Cards. I finally managed to sell-off most of those cards to make room for more Pokemon Cards / Items!

Second Shelf: Rock Carolina Purchase - Jungle Set through Neo Destiny Set C. / Un. Cards and Black-Star Promo Cards. There are two boxes roughly 3/4 Full and two boxes PACKED-FULL! There are also a few sealed WotC-Era Products I have yet to decide what to do with…

Third Shelf: Not Zelda Gilroy Purchase - Base Set R. / Un. / C. Cards. All six boxes are PACKED-FULL!

Fourth Shelf: Ultra-Pro Supplies - Re-Stocking Order has been Placed

Bottom Shelf: All of the cards that I have yet to sort-through and organize - majority being Japanese R. / Un. / C. and Vending Series 3. There is also a 1st Ed. Neo Destiny Set - that is going straight into my collection!

Let me add something to the above.

Not only was Nick an active seller back in the late 2000s, he was a WORLD CLASS seller. Wildly respected and popular, even by me…someone who can be very opinionated and critical.
I would recommend his incredible service to every single one of our efour members.

Thanks Gary!

That means a lot coming from you!

I have been wanting to do a similar thread for months of my setup… I always find though that I am moving WAY too much stuff through and it looks like a hurricane hit… One of these days I will get one up, but I haven’t seemed to ever catch up to all the stuff I buy…

Awesome setup! Much neater/more organized than mine. Nice to see that you got back into it.

That poster/uncut card sheet… wow!

Thank You!

I know exactly how you feel - rarely ever looks that neat! In fact, right after I created this tread, I busted into my Base Set C. / Un. Boxes and proceed to put together 50 C. / Un. Sets - took care of my clean office LOL

I’ve wanted one for a long while - LOVE IT! Fortunately bought it at the right time; there were a few up on eBay when I purchased, now there’s only two (one damaged and one over-priced).

Am I the only one having troubles viewing pictures on E4? and on mobile & desktop as well.

I am having the same issue today - I cannot view pictures and/or the “tool bar” (Home, Recent Threads, Messages…) :slightly_frowning_face:

Nope me three. Really want to see his set up!

It’s truly stunning! Would love one day to have one above my desk.

Toolbar broken here too.

you shouldnt sell for profit though. You should sell for a loss. always your all about profit…
