Hi, my name is Vileplume or you can call me ‘V’ for short and, like my name suggests, my favourite Pokémon is Vileplume! I’ve made it my goal in 2025 to begin collecting every Japanese & English Vileplume TCG Card. This may extend to other languages and non-TCG products (Topps, Cardass, Pokenots, etc.) once I’ve collected all JP & EN versions.
I will so also be looking for any Vileplume related products (decks, sleeves, coins, playmats etc.). My current collection isn’t the largest as this is only a new goal I’ve set, but I’m hoping to grow it over the next few months and years and hopefully become a Vileplume expert. The order of my checklist may be a little strange in some parts, but I’ve tried ordering in chronological order with a couple of exceptions for aesthetics purposes, these being post release variants, for instance Iron Leaves EX box features a non-holo English 151 Vileplume, even though the deck box was released after Shiny Treasure EX & Paldean Fates but I’ve listed with the main English 151 cards.

Team Rocket - I read about Team Rocket 1st Edition in the English set having a smudge on the 1st Edition stamp on this thread Elite Fourum - Sets & Languages - I can’t currently find a Vileplume with this difference if anyone has a link or photo that would be much appreciated.

Missed Cards - Sometimes obscure promo cards or sets aren’t well documented and can be hard to find. If anyone has any info on any Vileplumes I’ve missed, I would love to hear more. This also includes non-Japanese/English cards from language exclusive sets/promos.

And thanks for the link to the sleeve database, hadn’t seen that website before. Although I have seen more of them before, I’ve just browsed through all of them to see if there is a very tiny Seviper anyway, but as expected, nope… I’m still waiting for a sleeve featuring Seviper to release one day, but I’m not too hopeful tbh.

Regarding the smudged 1st edition Team Rocket cards: I haven’t seen a Vileplume with this error yet. They’re not too common tbh. I primarily added them to the thread you’ve linked for completeness.
And not sure if you care about sample cards, but there is an Expedition Base Set Matchprint Vileplume (limited to 2 copies).

And if you collect cameos on TCG cards featuring Vileplume, there are four different artworks: Neo Genesis 83/111 Arcade Machine; XY123 Venusaur EX; Crown Zenith 002/159 Gloom; and, not too useful, but there is also a 1-of-1 Koko Jumbo with Vileplume cameo…

Amazing!!! I’ve always loved Vileplume. Often looks amazing as a holo too as it’s easy to imagine all of the sparkles as ‘spores’ or something like that… makes sense ‘in world’ : ) Again, beautiful collection.

This is exactly what i needed! I did exactly the same with the sleeves its how i found the Singapore Anniversary Sleeve. Thank you for the update on the smudge card, I’ll definitely keep my eye out. The matchprints are crazy! That videos brilliant.

I will be adding cameo cards! The Venusaur EX is a must, the Japanese version would actually be the most expensive card in this set Never seen the Koko card before! I love that, whats the story behind it?

Never seen the Koko card before! I love that, whats the story behind it?

It was an illustration contest in 2020. There were four winners, each received a Jumbo card of their card, which are all 1-of-1s unfortunately.

Which is your favourite Vileplume art?

Really love the art on To Have Seen the Battle Rainbow/Burning Shadows very different from the usual designs of Vileplume stood still or sat down. But Erika’s Vileplume from Leaders’ Stadium/Gym Heroes is probably my favourite design and the best from that era i think. Have to mention the delta species from Holon Phantom, just looks so ominous and also only non grass type so will stand out in the binder
