I found 2 Japanese goldstars, but the only info I can find is about the play promo variants.
Really happy I discovered they are from the Japanese WCP set in the first place lol, but there are no ebay (sold)listing and I can’t find anything on the psa website. Flareon and Vaporeon are the one’s I have.
Also searched this forum a bit and messaged someone who bought a psa 9 jolteon apperently:p
Can I please get some help with these cards, are they rarer than the play promo variants? More value than the English versions?
bulbapedia on this set: Japanese players could order their packs online from June 15 until July 1, a rather limited window of opportunity. Packs were released from July 5 onwards to those who had ordered them. Each pack contained fifteen cards as opposed to ten.
Hi goldy and welcome to e4 by the way! The WCP packs versions are fairly rare in comparison to some other GS cards from sets in Japan but the PLAY promo versions tend to fetch a little more for Jolteon and alot more for Flareon. The WCP set was sold for a short time but from what i can work out the pull rates are a bit skewed more in youe favour in terms of pull rates. The set also had an UNL print as well as a 1ED print so i imagine this backs up good sales for the set. Not too sure in their value compared to English versions as im not too up on their prices.
The PLAY Promo trio are quite exclusive in terms of their distribution/requirements to obtain them - making them more expensive than their WCP conterparts.
WCP held a very limited release for both 1st editions and Unlimited print runs - the latter being far rarer than the 1st editions surprisingly. This is determined by the Pop reports on PSA with Unl. Flareon and Vaporeon only having a population of 1 in PSA 10 each!
In terms of pricing for 1st editions, they can range anywhere from £75 - £200 for ungraded copies (based on what i’ve paid for on Yahoo Japan and eBay) so it’s quite tough to nail down a specific price for each.
