Weight of a card - Booster packs (BASE)

There’s someone on eBay selling two Base booster packs, each with a different weight 21.40 grams and then 21.39 grams - would this be a case where a Holo would be in one? Or both? Or quite possibly none?

All comments are most welcomed.

I believe that’s considered heavy on both. Is he describing them as “heavy packs”?

Agree with said comment above… ^^^ If it’s labeled as “Heavy” then you’re looking at a good shot of having a Holo. But it can also depend on some packs as well… Sometimes they were made to offset the weight some. I believe Holo’s weigh a little more than the said posted figures.

But then again that could be my misjudgement.

Yeah, he’s describing both as HEAVY, while the listing also states “The weight difference between the light and heavy base set packs I have are 0.3g-0.4g so the chances of getting a shiny are very high, almost guaranteed.”

May I ask what would be the weight for a heavy Fossil pack? Thanks

I’m just going off of what I’ve been told and experienced, but Base through Jungle sets should have holos over 21g. BUT, there can be outliers and the only true way to know is to crack a sealed box and weigh them all (which isn’t realistic for most).

I’ve bought 10 fossil “heavy” packs over the last year or so from different sellers. I opened 5 of them. The first 3 were weights of 21.10-21.20g, and all had holos. I opened 2 of the other 5 that had weights of 21.23-21.25g and both had non holo rares. I’ve held off on the other 3 because they are probably light.
