What are your collection plans for 2017?

With 2017 just around the corner i thought i would ask the people what are your collection plans for 2017?

i’ll kick things off with my hopefully achievable goals;

  • have enough funds for a jungle booster box and obtain one
  • umbreon and espeon full art psa 10 from SM1 (english)
  • obtain expedition base set charizard holo and power keepers psa 10 charizard holo.

Goals:

  1. Finish Neo Revelations 1st Ed set (finished Neo Genesis in 1st Ed thanks to @shizzlemetimbers who got me the Typhlosion I was missing without knowing I needed it) :grin:
  2. Finish Neo Discovery in 1st Ed.
  3. Acquire a Pika Trophy (Full Art)- Any year or place
  4. Start Expedition, Battlefront and Aquapolis Binder.
  5. Acquire a 2nd place Victory Ring Trophy (Battle Festa)

Although I have a couple of goals:

1st Edition Shadowless Charizard.

Full Art Charizard & M Charizard X & Y GX Full Arts.

Fan Club Magikarp.

Get all 15 unpeeled Vending Series sheets.

Prerelease Clefable.

Unlimited Neo Shinings.

Nice and easy for me;

  • Complete XY Japanese FA in PSA 10
  • Continued sealed collection
  • Buy an original WotC era English Booster Box
  • Any new Hoopa card in PSA 10

I’ve decided not to collect the SM block and instead focus on finishing what I already have.

I’ll probably collect a few random SM cards here and there, but ultimately sealed is more becoming my focus.

Now that I have all the pcg/adv in Gem mint conditions ungraded, I can go after the engrishings.

For 2017, I shall be opening a 1st edition shadowless booster box.

And A shadowless booster box to feed my extreme cravings whilst saving for the 1st edition one hehehe

It has to happen… I have been wanting to open one since i first started collecting, as I havent opened base set since i was youngin with with the seestra.

Also I must finish the no raritan, but that will take longer.

My goal is to slow down on completing sets and focus on getting a list of my favorite cards PSA graded 8 or higher, all in 1st edition.

I have one goal for next year. And that is hunting this badboy.

I finally found a picture of rumble eevee. I will put a lot of time and effort in hunting one down. Hopefully I can find one in mint condition.

Typhlosion 17/111 for PSA 10 1st ed. Neo Genesis holo set, that’s pretty much the only thing in my mind right now. Possibly more older booster boxes, can’t see myself starting totally new graded card collection because I have like 99% from everything I need.

English Aquapolis Crystals in PSA 10 to have a True Crystal Master Set.
More Sealed Product(isn’t this everybodies goal?)

  • Complete my DP-XY block (master sets), only missing ~200 cards.
  • Complete my shadowless first edition set (only missing some holo’s & rares).
  • Sell more on Pokémoncardmarket & ebay.
  • Expand my bulk trade-in service to other European countries to gain more customers.

  • Reach 750+ Pikachus
  • Find a middleman to help me acquire Brazilian/Portuguese Pikachus
  • Send my first few cards to PSA for grading (got the cards incoming, and will send them of to PSA if they are in good enough quality).

Well in another similar thread for 2016, i said i would complete the 1st Edition Base Set in PSA 10 in 2016.

This has not happened lol so my only focus for 2017 will be to again try and complete it.
I’ve still 19 cards to go, 15 of them being holos :sob:

In 2017, I want to have at least one section complete (Written, Edited, images paired, etc.) in the Pokémon TCG history book I’m writing.

I also want to maintain my complete Sample/Dollar Tree pack collection while expanding my standard booster pack collection. Ideally, I will be able to eventually nest the Sample/Dollar Tree pack scans into a more comprehensive pack report.

I will continue to buy the more unique items that come up in English. Art Academy was last year’s surprise and I’m obviously still in need of those that have not yet surfaced. Those are an auto-purchase.

I’m still avoiding singles.
I’m still avoiding modern sets.
I am reducing the volume of items I’m holding.
I’m partitioning what I own to make it more clear for myself what is an investment and what is my true collection.
After partitioning, I’m getting literally every item I own catalogued. This will be done by the end of January. There’s no excuse for having such a sloppy portfolio. Fortunately, I recall exactly what I paid for every item down to the penny after shipping and taxes because I’m crazy. No, really. I’m insane. I’d avoid me.

Minor goals that I’m not super motivated toward so they’re probably just wishful thinking:

-Upgrade the three PSA 9s in my Sample Set

Question in my mind?
-Should I foray into 1st Ed. Base?

My plans are probably going to be getting a PSA 10 Espeon Gold Star PLAY promo. Other than that, probably finishing my Mew and Latios/Latias collection. I recently started collecting Lugia cards, so that’s probably my next biggest goals at the moment.

My plans are to send my first cards in to PSA and begin the PSA collecting
PSA 10 japanese base set holos
PSA 10 Ampharos collection
PSA 10 Fossil Mew!
Lots of PSA stuff lol

Also looking forward to the upcoming Sun & Moon Releases

I’d like to acquire a Red Logo Fossil Box, discover more about unreleased WOTC product and continue the goals from last year.
