What are your thoughts on eBay users asking about sold items

Hey guys, I just sold a card and hadn’t received this question in a while and was wondering how you guys feel about these sorts of questions being sent when you sell a Best Offer item?

Hey

I don’t sell cards that receive these questions too often so they don’t really bother me all too much but I can imagine they get old after a while. How do you guys feel about these questions and how do you usually respond to them?

 Thanks.

I’ve actually never gotten one of those questions, but it seems harmless enough. Probably just trying to gauge market value. Of course, it could also be a buyer looking to use your sale price as a justification to try and lowball someone else.

I usually help out

Never got this question either.

There are ways to figure it out without asking. It can’t hurt to tell them if you want

I have had this a few time, I just tell them the price.

Doesn’t hurt to help them out. I have not got that question before but…

Like everyone else said, I usually just tell them.

I usually just use watchcount.com to check best offer sold prices but a couple days ago it stopped working for me. Anyone else have this issue?

Maybe refer them here: www.worthpoint.com/

It doesn’t work anymore due to a change on eBay’s end.

any other free ways to view best offers accepted or no?

Watchcount does work, you just have to click the link that takes you to the ebay listing.

You guys with your non-eBay ad-ridden links. All you need to do is use this URL:

https://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=item_id

E.g. if the URL is www.ebay.com/itm/Pokemon-TCG-E3-Convention-Promo-SEALED-Pack-Kirby-Manhole-Pichu-Hoppip-JP-Back/292907204367, changing the url to cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItemVersion&item=292907204367 will show you the actual sold for price.

Sold price on Best Offers can be seen either if you want it or not, so why to lie or hide information?

Weird, it wasn’t working the past two days but now it is. Good to know though

On a side note I’ve been looking for actual prices for those two E3 cards for a while lol thanks for that. They rarely seem to go on sale.

I use this: www.flippertools.com/tools/ebayOfferHistory/ebay-best-offer-actual-price.htm

Very easy and works well for me.

It still runs 4 different adverts/tracking scripts. Why do you want some third party to know what you search for on eBay?

To be honest I couldn’t care less about the tracking and I have adblock, but only just seen your post about using a different link. I might try that method, but at the moment it’s just really convenient to open the bookmarked page and paste the url of the item I’m looking at into it. I guess bookmarking your link and then editing the link once I visit should work?
