Which booster boxes are nearly impossible to obtain

As per the title. For the life of me I cannot find the Red and Black collection boxes in 1ed. What others are impossible to find?

Some Japanese PCG era boxes like Golden Sky, Silvery Ocean and Offense and Defense of the Furthest Ends (among others) come to mind considering they’re not that old relative to some other sets.

@shizzlemetimbers it is said that korean unlimited could have been misprint. AS in like prerelease raichu, they accidently printed some korean 1st ed without the stamp ༼ つ ಥ_ಥ ༽つ

I was told this by an avvid charizard collector. But its also confuusing considering the Booster packs might have showed up in australia.
but maybe just maybe, those booster packs were printed with out the stamp to, like prerelase raichu was accidently printed… dun dun dun.

But yeah, please somebody find me a offense and defense japanese dragon frontiers booster box, and i will soil miself. =D

Hmmm that is 2spooky4me, all I have seen are those 3 booster packs, couple decks incuding those 6 pack sealed 2 player decks and the holos that don’t come from the decks. Also I am pretty confident that Korean unl. boosters would sell for more than 1st ed. base which is crazytown. Does avid charizard collector have a korean unlimited Gyarados :sob:

The avid collector id have to ask, because apparently he knows someone who scored 1st psa 9 unlimited korean charizard! I think the dude is from france and is on here somewhere who has the charizard, and so i need to destroy him and take his charizard ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°) or trade him for it.
I like mint 9 now, especially on such rare cards like that, it is a high ass grade.

@pokemonsyndicate yes please  wow Charizard is especially hard as you have to open from pack rather than Gyarados from overgrowth. Yeah 9s are awesome for foreign 10s are very tough to crack

Japanese L1, L2, and L3 unlimited edition boxes. In a year time I have never even seen a picture of an unlimited edition Pikachu or Reverse Holo Pikachu, so I can imagine that the boxes are even more impossible to obtain.

Greetz,

I’d like to continue this list with Miracle Crystal and Holon Research Tower.

Never seen sealed Golden Sky, Silvery Ocean or Offense and Defense of the Furthest Ends boxes for sale during last 3 years, I think couple Miracle Crystal boxes have appeared. Gotta consider myself lucky when 1st ed. Holon Research Tower box sold last year ended in own collection, I was asking about its rarity from far more experienced collectors before purchase and even they said it’s only they’ve seen in ~6 years, I know only one person who has it as well.

Inb4 some japanese seller lists sealed case of each on yahoo.

hmmms didnt know this

That’s crazy man!

Out of curiosity, what would be a reasonable price for a sealed box of 1ED?

I am going to think this is absolutely a case of ‘Whatever someone is willing to pay’ when one eventually shows itself there will be a nice handful of people going at it. If @darkrai hasn’t seen a 1st ed sealed ever then people aren’t going to want to wait for another to show.

Yeah I totally get that, but surely there is a number someone might have in mind, even if it’s just a starting point.

Some madman will drop 4k on it in a heartbeat.

The rarest would include PCG boxes and perhaps certain foreign boxes like Korean unlimited. Things like Golden Sky, Silvery Ocean, Holon Phantoms, and Offense & Defense at the Furthest Ends are near impossible to find in any print, not to mention first edition. These thing sometimes go under the radar, even though there are people who might pay an exorbitant price.
