Which order for serial numbers?

When it comes to grading 1st, 2nd, and 3rd place cards like say the Pikachu medals or trophies, would you say it’s more proper/correct to have 1st be the smaller serial number and for the lower ranks the serial number increases, or have the 3rd be the smaller serial number and as you increase in rank so too does the serial number?

Option #1 example:
1st place => PSA 444444440
2nd place => PSA 444444441
3rd place => PSA 444444442

Option #2 example:
3rd place => PSA 444444440
2nd place => PSA 444444441
1st place => PSA 444444442

Well naturally the best serial numbers for those would end in “33333”, “22222” and “11111”. You should keep resubmitting them until that happens!
In all seriousness my advice would be to not pay any attention to the serial numbers whatsoever and just enjoy the cards.
