I’ve watched 100s of box openings and don’t think I’ve seen 2 FA trainers in a box. I’ve seen a trend where if you get a rainbow rare you almost always get a FA trainer.
Thats why I buy booster boxes if I am opening packs Ive opened maybe 10 tins in my life…and ive had several without an ex…and a few with nothing…not even a reverse rare or holo >.<
I dont really buy packs or open them anymore. I stopped buying from the cardshop near me due to possible weighing(only speculation, but I can but packs cheaper in collection boxes and booster boxes)
Ive bought 17 loose boosters from shops in the past 3 ish years. But they are 3.50-4 a pop so prefer to buy cheap tins and collection boxes online if i want to open packs…or booster boxes. Used to buy them at £70 a box but now they are more like £90-100 from my local dealer( sounds badass XD)
My pull luck is so poor and its far cheaper to buy a booster box for more economical bang for my buck. I know ill get pulls within a certain variable parameter
@geg89 - Fair call, Booster boxes are 150 each at my local card shop and they charge 5 for a pack, which is cheaper than you will get elsewhere. The guy who runs it has integrity and doesn’t weigh packs, and to avoid pack mapping issues whenever he opens a booster box to sell individual packs he mixes all the packs up before he sells any. Just to avoid someone coming in and gaming the system.
By the way, for anyone else that has pulled a Noivern HR, did anyone else notice how lightly printed they were compared to other HRs? Or was mine just off?
Ultra Rares have a Normal Copy of a Pokemon GX, a rarer full art copy (textured) of each Pokemon GX, and an even rarer Hyper “Rainbow” rare version of the full art. Then you have Secret (gold border) versions of the item/energies, and full art trainers. I think Burning Shadows has over 35 ultra rares lol. See example below
The most expensive card in the set right now is the rainbow rare charizard ~$90 or full art trainer Guzma $55.
Packs are no longer weighable – TPCi includes a heavier code card (dark green) for boosters without holos in them, and a lighter one for those with holos. I saw some tests ran, and it’s impossible to tell the difference by weight now.
