I’ve been trying to think of a use for my hidden fates tins. It’s octagonal shape is wide enough such that bulk doesn’t intuitively fit (IE you would have to stuff the sides to pack everything in). It happens to be just too narrow to fit PSA cards laying flat and are just too shallow to fit PSA cards on their side. EDIT: just tried a Beckett card and same net result.
What do you guys do with your tins? And if anyone knows why the shape of tins never improved I’m sure that would be an interesting answer. There’s obviously way more space than is necessary for 4 boosters and a promo card.
@xdarkfenixx , I always wondered the same thing myself in regard to the tins but I always just thought they were larger to be more flashy on display. Also, with nintendo and how they tend to be with creating various products for everything, that could be why the tins dont exactly fit cards, bulk, etc as well so that they could make another product to buy for that, but im just speculating.
Regardless though, im sure they could see some use in some way. My gf uses her spare tins to house cards she has in toploaders, but there is that issue still of extra space. Maybe it could be used to hold extra packs of deck sleeves/card sleeves or even die/counters given with elite trainer boxes, or hell, im sure if i saved enough of mine I could send them to my mother for when shes baking holiday cookies to give to nearly everyone in our family and who she knows haha, but idk. Theres always a use for something somewhere i suppose!
I keep all my bulk in tins. It’s no issue at all. Put the cards sideways and don’t overload it so you can still pull cards out. Don’t put them in the middle of the tin, but put them to a side. Then you’ll create a small space that can fit few more cards. Like this:
