I feel like if they were going to do it it would have been done by now. Japan did because they switched from referring to the franchise as Pokémon instead of pocket monsters

I don’t know. It literally took them till this year to change the borders. So anything is still possible.

japan
not japan
i would be surprised if there were any changes at this point.
They will bring the yellow borders back before they change the back side.

I don’t think they’ll ever change the backs, honestly. That’s the only thing I’ll put my money on being a constant.
Inb4 they do an anniversary announcement and I have to eat my hat…

I would be shocked if Pokemon changed the card backs. They are so iconic, more so than the yellow borders in my opinion.
This is like the World Championships Decks but for beginners, the back changes are contained
Japanese new back will stay Japan-only. All the other SEA & Chinese languages are recent (Sun & Moon onwards), English back, and printed in Japan
