Although the artwork in skyridge is awesome I didnt grow up with it. Most of what I like to collect stays with my childhood so right now Id go with 1st edition.

Here’s a weird but hopefully fun question:

Would you rather only be able to own PSAs that were graded as a 10, or only own 9s and below and never a 10? Once you make a decision the cards you chose not to keep instantly poof and turn back into cash, but they only become the amount that you paid for the card initially + grading fees if you graded them yourself. If you try to grade cards in the future they go through this process too and you’re only allowed to keep the ones that reflect your choice. For BGS, let’s just say 9.5 and up vs 9 and below.

Probably open the box… would be disappointing at first but if you got a blastoise and venusaur and some other good holos I think it’d make up for it

Aquapolis and expedition, hell, ill take expedition over skyridge alone. Most underrated set versus potentially most overrated imo (they r both great sets tho)

If we are talking unlimited I think I’d have to go with opening a box. Always wanted to buy one from Meijer’s, but when I was 11 I was happy to get 3 packs.

Dang, you’re brutal. This deserves a NSFL-tag just imagining it… Anyway, probably the first, because at least there’s a solid chance it survives somewhat and can be regraded as PSA-3 or less. With the shredder everything will be lost…
EDIT: Actually, wood chipper for sure. You didn’t mention it was turned on, so I just take it out mostly unharmed from the same side I threw it in.

Follow-up question: Would you rather:

1. Own one copy of all existing Japanese cards, and nothing else
2. Own one copy of all existing English cards, and nothing else
3. Own one copy of all existing other languages (German, French, Italian, Spanish, Portuguese, Dutch, Korean, Chinese, Russian, Polish), and nothing else

1st edition Base Set to resell when the value goes up to more than what I bought it for.

Since the PSA-10s I own are much harder to find than the PSA-9s I’d say keep PSA-10. Not to mention my Moltres Collection wouldn’t be the same without the PSA-10s.

Probably would have already chosen Expedition Base Set over Skyridge, so the Aquapolis is a bonus that makes it definite. Love the artwork of Expedition Base Set a lot more than Skyridge (although all three are pretty good sets).

Easy, open a Base Set box. You never stated whether I was the one buying or owning the Booster box, and I don’t want to spend 20,000 USD on a PSA-10 Charizard (or few 1,000 less if it isn’t the 1st edition).

If you meant buying both, then probably still the booster box. Just for the nostalgic feeling, and the potential of other great cards.

Love this question! I would definitely choose the multi language collection. As most people choose to collect English and Japanese cards, my collection would be more unique than others. Plus for someone who cares about artwork more than the words on the cards, this way I get even more of some of my favorite artworks instead of just stuck with 1 in English or Japanese!

Would you rather…
Get PSA to autheicate any 1 new card (like no damage Ninetales) immediately

Get PSA to authicate 10 new cards over the course of 10 years
