Hi all!

Trying my luck!

I’ve been searching high and low for a sealed Base Set Booster Box and hopefully my search ends here! :smiley:

Ideally looking for an Australian seller as I’m based in Melbourne and have some anxiety around customs, shipping etc I’m but happy to speak to anyone and everyone and look at options for shipping.

Looking around $13,500 AUD ($10,000 USD) region, negotiable.

Take this with a grain of salt, but i brought a base box just over a month ago for 15k AUD… This isnt the place to penny pinch :blush: Best of luck mate

Not to be rude but the aud has strengthened significantly in the last 6-8 weeks and his offer is pretty much in line with what you paid and
inline with the recent ebay sales.

6 weeks ago 15k aud is equal to 9.6k usd (1 aud = .64c usd)

5 weeks ago 15k aud is equal to 9.75k usd (1 aud = .65c usd)

Today 13.5k aud is equal to 9.66k usd (1 aud = .72c usd)

Its the beauty of being a foreign collector purchasing usd denominated assets. You’re at the mercy of forces larger than the hobby itself.

well I sold my 1st edition jungle and base set both as mint as it gets for 17500 USD, so it is doable

nah, I was being offered a lot less to buy boxes from people. about 8k per box f&f so its about market value. Theres people who strictly go off ebay prices which is highly misleading.

Had a pretty successful week with a sale for Jungle and Fossil box, still not much interest in Base Box.

Would consider trades or trade/cash swaps. Another community member in Aus had three base box arrive in the post yesterday so they’re out there!
