Hello!
EDIT: Revised the offer to 150$
Would love to hear if you have one available or could point me in the right direction !
I have two for sale and they are the only two on ebay at the moment.
Unfortunately, $130 is pretty low considering the last two have sold for $175 and $180. Not to mention I sold an Alakazam last week for $200.
With those factors in play, let me know if you would still like one with a different offer in mind
Hey swolepoke, thank you for your reply, I appreciate it!
Whilst you are not wrong, I can definitely find a few sold listings below my offer as well. Their price range seems to vary a bit, to say the least.
I feel that if I wait a bit, another chance will probably present itself at some point to grab the card right around the price I am looking to pay. I have mostly encountered the cards I felt I was paying the full price for, at a lower price later down the road, which always feels a little bit sour .
Having said that, Iād be looking to pay right around 150$ including shipping at most, but that shipping would be to Europe, so I am not sure how much that would end up costing you, so it might be less than you are looking for. (Although, Pokemon Revolution managed to ship single PSA cards to me for just $4 before? Not sure which exact method he used!).
What are you collectingā¦money or PokĆ©mon cards? Paying 175.00 delivered is fair plus itās good for the hobby. Heck, whatās 15%?
I get what you are saying about finding them for less than your price, but for that price you gotta hunt. Understand that here on efour we are all collectors and typically will only trade or sell for the retail value.
I found 4/5 masakiās graded 9 for 400, but that doesnāt come up often and you need to hunt for that deal. Asking for a good price for a popular card will be hard to get a deal with. Still cant hurt to ask, so I get it.
The point is that 175 is fair for the Gengar. Iām sure you can get 150, but you need to find someone that is auctioning or wants to sell and most people on efour want what their card is worth.
@garyis2000 and @joer , I appreciate your input on this, thank you!
I am going to think things over a bit. I understand the point you are making Gary, and last year I have certainly made a few purchases where I did pay a premium for a complete set for example, or pay on the higher end of the market price for single cards I was still looking for, the kind of thing that helps our hobby out.
But in reality, I spent a lot on PokĆ©mon last year as a whole, more often than not definitely paying on the higher end of the market price. The amount of cards Iād describe I got ācheapā could be counted on one hand.
Now that isnāt to say I am not happy with my cards, even those I paid a premium for. I do indeed collect PokĆ©mon cards. But as someone in his mid-20s, at the end of the day I also have to be concerned with collecting some money . 15% on one card might not seem that much, but looking at things as a whole, I just want to be making well-considered purchases more than I did last year, rather than instantly just getting the cards I want.
Well, Iām thinking the price doesnāt vary too much anymore.
I just sold my last Alakazam, a Gengar, Machamp and my last Omastar for $175 each
(Gave the seller a discount since they were buying four at one time)
Your best bet is eBay. 130 is a fair price, as the last few auctions including PWCC sold for that much.
My observation here is that you need to offer above market value on this website to get a bite.
