Not a bad opening offer. Id say 7’s are flirting with that price at this point.
There was a tv show featuring the card, the publicity increased supply, and they were purchased pretty quickly. There is a damaged copy on mercari for 12k.
As with the other thread on this card, its maxed out in everything! I think being open to a psa 6-7 with that same offer will increase your potential. Good luck!

I think you need to be open to other grades in any case as there are only 5 PSA 8’s so that is hard to find.
A wider range opens up more more cards and maybe more sellers (altough with 6 and 7’s included you still only target 9 cards in total).

These are purely sales numbers I’ve seen/heard this year.
$13,500 for a PSA 8 on a Japanese card site
x2 played copies with visible indents selling for $9000 each within hours of being listed on Mercari.
$9000 and $12,000 for Mint copies both sold by Pkonno on Yahoo
$11,000 for a copy that looked mint (Was told by a Japanese collector their was a possible indent in surface seller was hiding)
$6500/$7000 trade value for a played/destroyed PSA Authenticated copy.

I believe the 2 creased copies on Mercari sold for 600,000 yen each unless there were 2 more similar copies that sold. But everything else seems right and members here are offering $8k+ for seemly any copy.
