WTT PSA Shadowless Holo Set for 1st Edition PSA 8 Charizard

Thank you guys for the advice of selling my loose packs in order to buy a booster box! Hopefully I’m not over-posting (this is my second trade post in a week), I just prefer the idea of trading so neither party loses out on selling fees.

I have a complete sequential PSA graded Shadowless set (plus an extra PSA 9 Shadowless Raichu) that I’d like to trade for a 1st Edition English Base Set PSA 8 Charizard. The last one that I see that sold at auction on eBay sold for $2275, so I think this is a reasonable trade. Here are the cards and grades:

All these cards listed were pack fresh and the PSA cases are all scratch free. I don’t see any noticeable scratches on the holofoil on these cards. The ones that received grades of 6 or 7 baffle me, as they were all pack fresh and look like they should be 9s.

Eh a 24 hour auction and the description says it’s a PSA 10…then it says it’s a Zapdos. Wouldn’t use that as your data point.

Excellent points! Unfortunately, it’s the only PSA 8 that I see that has sold at auction on eBay (in the time period eBay shows for sold listings). Other than that, I really don’t have any solid data points to go off of - I don’t want to use active buy it now listings because who knows what prices they’ll sell at.

Does anyone have more recent legitimate sales figures? I see the lowest priced Buy It Now PSA 8 is listed for $3,000. Once you take out the 10% ebay fees and the 2.9% PayPal fees, that comes to just over $2,600 for the seller. So I guess it’s safe to assume a fair cash price is somewhere between the $2,275 and $2,600.

There are two at auction right now that end in 3 days and 6 days both are currently around $2400 bid price

Ooooh Excellent! Thank you for pointing those out! I’ll watch those and if no one wants to trade with me before those end, I’ll just bid on them and sell one of my booster boxes to pay for it I guess. Thank you!

If you put an individual value on the Shadowless cards it might help gauge whether this is a good trade or not. Keep in mind if you are taking the bottom price for the 1st edition base charizard and taking nearly 13% off for fees you should do the same when pricing out your shadowless cards.
