Yugioh 25th Anniversary LOB boxes say that they will be printed to demand. Does anyone roughly know how long Yugioh sets are printed for?
I’d like to buy sealed 25th Anniversary LOB boxes as an investment but I’m sure many people will disagree that it is a good idea so I would like to know the thoughts of other people.
I don’t know much about Yugioh but my initial thoughts are:
Positives: it’s a reprint of the first set in booster box form which I don’t believe has been done before, it’s the most well-known set, you can pull the most nostalgic cards, it’s fun to open, I think a long-term downside when picking them up below RRP and market value is highly unlikely, it is potentially a similar situation to XY Evolutions
Negatives: Yugioh reprints everything, Yugioh has a lot less fan base and spending power than Pokemon, it could be printed for years if people keep buying it, the Blue Eyes card isn’t the original artwork, it could take 5-10 years to increase in value, the 25th Anniversary boxes which contain Blue Eyes + 1 LOB pack have probably been printed to oblivion, EV of the cards vs box price is currently poor
